Each of the school libraries in Roane County received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association for the 2010-2011 school year that awarded 17 books plus bonus materials for the students at each school to use. The items in the collection are on display in each of the libraries and are available for checkout. The theme of the bookshelf is “A More Perfect Union”.

Materials that we received from the We the People Bookshelf Grant

The mission of Midway Elementary School is for students to know how to read, write, communicate effectively, perform mathematics and master proficiency or advance in these areas on Terra Nova (TCAP) Assessment. It is also our mission that students recognize and practice good character traits to become productive members of society.
