The Special Education Department offers services to students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism, sensory and physical disabilities, behavior disorders and giftedness for children 3 through 21 years of age.  Services are provided by licensed teachers, professional staff and by trained paraprofessionals.  In addition to student services the department also provides staff development for all Roane County educators, parent training, and area wide inter-agency collaborations.
